the trans is off a jdm d15b...has the very rare optional lsd...i need to know what type of lsd it is...either clutch type or gear type...i dont want to tear it apart but seems like i might have too...some commom problems...

makes weird noises...like 2 metal plates sliding off each other...makes screeching noises...not long but short pulse noises...i drained the fluid out and it was full of very fine metal shavings...i know it still works but the noise is bothering me...i'd like to find out information about it before i tear it apart so here i am on h-t...and its been a long time since i've been on here...on a note its currently sitting and i'm not driving it...

 

I've asked the same thing about what type of LSD it is and I've done a search and nothing! I've got one too and I haven't put it in yet, but I would like to know the answer to this too.

 

man...i've been on here since 02 and i asked since then but never really found an answer...i guess imma have to tear it apart and find out myself...

but i would like to find out from peeps here on h-t first

How long have you been running the tranny for? What fluid have you been using?

 

been running it for at least a month now....using honda mtf
