to put a jdm itr lsd 4.4 fd into a 2000 b16 civic si tranny what would be needed? final drive from a gsr or type r and im good? i searched but would like to know for sure before i spend some money maybe from someone who has done this. just the final drive gear is needed is what i think?
If you switch the final drive ratio, you need to switch the countershaft as well. You should be able to switch your ring gear to the LSD and avoid that mess. You will need the appropriate shim for the differential. Look at the part links in my signature. Make sure that the ITR and Si share the same transmission housing. I think that they do, but have not checked.
**LISTEN TO ME**
if the ITR LSD already has a ring gear on it, PUT IT IN. NOTHING ELSE NEEDS TO BE DONE!!!
if the ITR LSD has no ring gear, you need a ring gear from a GSR or ITR.
THAT IS ALL
