I have an RPM problem and a problem when accel. When ideling, the RPM goes to about 800, then drops to 400 then jumps to 1000. The car feels like it's about to stall the whole time.

Also, when i accel. my car sputters and does't seem like it has any power even tho the RPM is high. I put the pedel almost to the floor then it starts to go but doesn't shift. It doesnt feel like a tranny problem but who knows?

Any ideas, help appreciated!

 

When is the last time you worked on the car and what did you do?

Spark plugs. Fuel filter. Vaccum leak.

There are many possibilities.

 

sparkplug wires?? any codes??
