Default JDM Gauge Question

Is there anything I have to do to make JDM gauges read correctly in a USDM car? (For example the correct speed in km/h?) The gauges I bought are for the same year and engine as my car (I haven't recieved them in the mail yet but I assume they won't just plug in and read correctly) Any help would be appreciated!

They will read just fine, but in Km/h, not mp/h. The mechanism is in the gauge, hte VSS just sends a signal that the gauge translates according to it's gearing.
