??? jdm (electronic) KAAZ lsd ???
picked up an obd 1 jdm b16a w/ hydro tranny today.
it came with an aftermarket jdm stainless 4-2-1 header and a KAAZ lsd.
one thing has me confused...
there's a small black rectangular KAAZ electronic box that has three wires coming out of it, with a sensor mounted to the tranny fluid fill bolt hole.
what the hell is this thing? ...and what do i wire it to?

my guess is that it's an electromagnetic lock, as a friend suggested.
i'll bet the three wires are for power (red), ground (black), and a switch controll (white).
...but it's just a guess.
can anyone confirm this?

if it where an electro mag then wouldnt that screw up other metal to meatl clearences in the tranny when switched io

That sounds the most reasonable, but honestly you should email kaaz, and see what they say.

Proximity Sensor.
Could be used to measure mph by using the gear teeth on the ring gear, just like a VSS.
Ask Greg, aka CHEETAH. He sold me my Kaaz.
