Default JDM Cluster reading MPH?

I'm relatively new to the Honda world, and I just picked up a 96 Civic coupe, and with it a JDM cluster. In a kouki 240sx, i know you can take a JDM cluster and swap out a resistor to make it read MPH on the speedo and odo, thus giving you a 190mph speedo. I guess it just changes the impedence and reads only 62-ish% of the signal coming from the VSS. Im no electrical genius, but i'm assuming thats how its done. Anyone ever seen this on a Honda? 190mph speedo would be nice when k time comes any input is appreciated
