Jdm b16a(gen2) oil
Either 10w30 or 5w30. I use 10w30, I just changed my oil today actually and it took almost 5 quarts. But use your dipstick dummy! Pour 4 quarts and check your dipstick and if it hasn't reached the 2nd hole keep pouring tell you reach the second hole. Then start up the car for 10 seconds to let the oil move around and then turn off and check dipstick again and it should be lower so pour more oil tell you reach the 2nd hole again and you should be good.
The Honda Spec for a USDM B16a3 found in the 1995 Del Sol calls for 4.0 quarts with oil filter change and 3.7 with no filter change. I have found that 4.2 is the majic number. Owned at least a dozen B16s of various gens. However in all of them I used 10W30 and a honda oil filter from the dealer. Buy the washer for the drain plug there too- its like a quarter more but is well worth a leak free drain plug. And oh yeah don't overtighten the drain plug. If you own a torque wrench 33 foot pounds is perfect. If you don't you will just have to do, but if you feel closely you can feel the aluminum washer crush just a little and that's it. Put oil in it, crank it up, watch the oil light go out, shut it off, then check the oil. THe level should be near the top second dot. Good luck.
