Default J30A4 Power steering bypass

I did this as my EK has no power steering, so this was the quickest way for me to handle it.

This is for informational purposes only, and I am not responsible for your actions or the results thereof from following this.

1. Remove power steering pump and do something with the lines. (I just tossed mine aside as I'm not using any of it any time soon.)

Bolt hole.
Another bolt hole...
Discarded stuff onto sawdust
2. Remove upper alternator bracket and fab a slotted bracket (be mindful of thickness as too thick will cause unwanted tilting of the alternator). The slotted bracket will be for belt adjustment. I also had to grind on my alternator casing to clearance the bracket.

I measured this bracket, but forgot to write it down.
You can see where I ground (grinded?) the alternator case to clear the adjustment bracket. 3. I removed the tensioner and lopped off the arm going to the tensioner pulley and made a notch for easier access to a timing cover bolt. It looks like poo, but it works.
Lol craptastic

4. I also replaced the idler pulley and belt. The pulley needed to be shimmed out about a washer's thickness so it would not bind and needed to be smaller in diameter so the belt would not rub itself. The belt I used was a little tight going on, but fit just right.

Finishment. Pulley part # (Dayco) 89161
Belt part # (Dayco) 5060560 (56" belt)
