Default I've got no heat...

(direct from thread in EF thread but I need answers soon)

(89 CRX Si)

I had heat problems with this car since I bought it. It would only blow warm. Would take 20 minutes to warm the cabin up but by then all the windows would fog and I'd have to crack a window.

The valve opens, no coolant leaks anywhere (including heater core), and I just replaced the thermostat with a 193 degree from AutoZone. The car now runs cooler and the air never even blows warm. (The old thermostat was still functional upon removal. THe car has never overheated.)

Any ideas???

had the same problem, the owner b4 me had kinked the heater core metal lines coming out of the firewall so not much coolant was passing through to heat heat up, carefully pull the hoses off by the firewall and see if this is your problem...

sounds like an air bubble in the system, jack up the front of the car and take the radiator cap off. start the car and let it run with the heat all the way on hot. let the car run atleast untill the thermostat opens and keep adding fluid as bubbles make there way out of the rad cap.
