itr into eg troubles please help!!!!!!
i have had this in hybrid for 2 days w/o a single response please help.
i have a 93 si hatch. i got a 96 itr swap to put in it. im using 96 gsr harness, 96 itr ecu, obd2-obd1 jumper harness. now my motor starts and runs but starts a little hard. it idles high(2200) and no vtec. i got a code 0 or a constant light. it blinks once right away to let me know its working then stays constant. i am getting very frustraten and am in need of some ideas. ANY help will be appreciated. i tried to search but found nothing remotely close to my problem. well guys help me out. thanks

You will need to jump your ECU and ensure you are pulling the right codes.
It's most likely the IACV, MAP or TPS sensor not hooked up properly.
Code 0 and your car isn't working -- period.
Grab a paperclip and bend it into a U shape and jump the service connector and determine what codes you are throwing.

yes the paperclip idea is good, that's what i use to check the CEL codes when i get them from time to time. jump the "service connector" under the passenger side dash, above the ECU. then turn the key 2 clicks til the dash lights come on.
if the CEL stays on without flashing then there aren't any codes in the ECU. at least that's how it is on my Civic when i check for codes and there aren't any.
you mentioned that it flashes once and then stays lite, or only flashes once quickly. 1 flash would be the O2 sensor, which doesn't seem to be linked to your problem. 0 code would be the ECU. it seems that it would be one of the intake sensors, MAP, TPS or IACV. you might want to check and make sure the right plugs are on they and that the wires/sensors are not damaged. also the ECU itself may be faulty, hence the suspected 0 code.

unfortunately i dont have my old ecu but im gunna try a 94 ls ecu to see if it kicks codes. the car does run just idles HIGH and doesnt like to start. it will pop off but when you even tough the gas it dies, untill about the 8th or 9th time of dying i can then feather the gas to get it to run and after the initial start it runs fine. then if i shut it off and start it right away it will start right up. the only other pisser which is of the utmost of cuncerns is NO VTEC
one more quick question. all the sensors off my d16z6, i still have them, will they work on my itr manifold so i could eliminate that as a possible problem????
if you're referring to the IM sensors such as the TPS, MAP, IAT etc., then yes the D16Z6 sensors should work fine on the B series stuff. i've used various sensors off of D and F series engines on my B series engines, IM's and heads.
does the jdm itr ecu look for the vtec pressure switch? its on pin D6. the jumper harness i have doesnt have a wire on that pin going to the ecu, but i was told that the jdm ecu doesnt look for it. also if someone has the time or knowledge. i have a 96 gsr wiring harness and need to know the wire colors that are on the plugs that go to the tps, map, iab. pretty much the ones that go to the intake manifolt to make sure i have them right cause they all reach and plug into eachother and i dont have a helms. please help me out. thanks
also i have voltage running through the vtec solenoid from the engine bay through the ecu. everyone tells me to look for 12 volts but i am reading 18.4 volts. WTF?!?!?!?
my advice, use your stock harness, obd1 distributor...or repin obd2 distributor and use an OBD1 ecu.
then, you just need to wire vtec and although i'm not a huge fan of chipped p28's i'd run something programmed by kenji.

well tps has 2 wires so you cant miss that plug just the map and iab might be switched. try it. Yeah the jdm ecu doesnt look for vtec pressure switch. hit me up ill help you out
