hey to all. i have a b16 block that i want to put the itr header on but when i put it on the block it hits the oil pan enough to keep it from going all the way on. do i need to use the itr oil pan also or is there a way to get the header to work. please let me know.

Hmm, I think the B16 oil pan is the same size as the ITR... is this a real ITR header?

 

it's alright fellas... i made it work. there is a slight mod i needed to make, but looks great and i'm sure it will sound and feel great...

it a new line out for motors i found it in a shop. i don't know where else to get it. but it's pretty awesome in the sun light.

 

so what was the reason for it not fitting right? What did you do to make it fit?

i had to bang in the oil pan just a little bit. and it fits just fine. i don't know exactly why it didn't just bolt right up, but it's on now. i used a new paint that i found. it just came out.

 

i thought "banging" the oil pan would make the pressure drop and VTEC would not work. Everyone talks about scraping their oil pan and no vtec so would this not do the same thing? Im to scared to take a hammer to my pan to make my itr not hit

 

That makes no sense, since the B16 block is shorter than the B18C block, it shouldnt have any clearance issues. Are you running some wacky oil pan?
