Default ITR cams with GSR valves ???

I have a B18C1 that i am installing ITR cams, ITR valve springs and ITR retainers on. My question is....Is it ok to use my GSR valves so that i do not have to remove my head?

Yes, it is ok but don't go over the stock rev limit or else you will have a bent valve.

On a 2000 GSR, what is best to use....JDM itr cams or USDM itr cams? And also which year cams will be best? All i plan on doing is SK2 IM and TB with Intake and Header and i need to know what you guys recommend would be the best ITR cam swap for me. Thank you.

Only the ITR intake valves differ from the GSR. The ITR rev limit would be just fine.

All of the ITR and CTS have the same exhaust cam (p/n 14121-P73-J00). THe first ITRs with the 4-2-1 exhaust manifold used the 14111-P73-J00 intake cam. The 4-1 exhaust manifold JDM ITRs used the 14111-P73-J01 intake cam which is very similar to the CTR intake cam. The 2000-2001 USDM ITR with the 4-2-1 exhaust manifold used the 14111-P73-J01 cam as well. You will need to tune your engine for the cams and manifold.

I know that i will need to tune after the install, but i want to know if one cam is better to use on my setup than another. If i have a 2000 USDM GSR, then is the 00-01 USDM ITR cam the best choice for me? Or will the 97-99 cam work just as well? Im looking for someone who knows what is the best ITR cams to use on my setup.

The newer ones (14111-P73-J01) have a slight peak HP advantage. There are no USDM or JDM ITR cams, as they were sold in both places. BTW: there is no 99 USDM ITR.

To answer the last part, it is how you tune it ultimately. If you want greater power, many aftermarket cams exist.
