well, back in Dec i bought my 88 crx si...and the a/c blew fine. I swapped in a b16, and simply tied the stuff to the side, and then used a bracket to hook it back up. Well a couple months ago, i attached a belt to the compressor, but the a/c isnt working now.

Here is the interesting part. I dropped it off at local mechanic to have him check out the a/c. He says that I have fittings for both r12 and r134, and he wont hook up his machine to it trouble shoot it, b/c he doesnt know whats in it. I would assume since it has the r134 fittings, thats what is in it. Anyone have any advise, suggestions, etc? I am dying w/out a/c and need some help. Thanks

 

Empty the thing and have them charge it

 

cant i empty it and purchase one of those kits to charge it w/ r134?

 

Yeah you can but, if you empty it and take it there they will make sure it is working properly and deal with anything else that arrises.
