Ok, I had my AC belt disconnected for about 2 months and I finally put it back on a few weeks ago. Well a few days after, the AC quit. No weird noises or anything, the pump just wont engage anymore. Checked fuses and relays already, any ideas?
As per Helms:
You might want to check the receiver-dryer. If the system isn't used for a while, ie. belt removed, the dessicant inside goes bad. And, they are not repairable. Also, if compressor belt is left disconnected for long enough, I've been told they have a good chance of going bad.
The system needs the belt to keep the oil inside circulating.
Sounds like something for pro with the proper tools to check out 1st. though.
