Default Integra Radiator/tranny cooler question

So the integra radiator has a built in transmission cooler for the automatic transmission. People with these radiators and manual transmissions just plug the holes or leave them be. I was wondering what the difference, if any, this tranny cooler has between an engine oil cooler.

Tranny fluid for hondas is basically engine oil, so I'mjust curious if anyone knows anything about the flow of fluid through this cooler, or any other factor that might make it unsafe to use this cooler as an engine oil cooler.

Thanks for the help.

You could use it as a oil cooler, but it is not going to have the same effect as running a separate oil cooler.

From what i understand and can see the tranny cooler just uses the coolant to "cool" the fluid by running through it.

It would still be better than running sans cooler tho. Any other opinions?
