Default using tranny cooler for an oil cooler

Is anyone using the transmission fluid cooler in the bottom of their radiator for an oil cooler? I did an auto to manual swap on my EJ and (of course) I'm doing nothing with the trans cooler now. If I ditched the stock oil cooler and ran those lines through the trans cooler instead, would it help or just be a waste of time/money?

Just get a JEGS or Summit universal oil cooler for $35 and do it right.
