Default Integra GSR to Accord V6 brake conversion.

Hello,

I have a set of 98 Accord V6 calipers sitting in my basement that I would like to install on my Integra. Along with these calipers I will have to install a larger 11.75 inch rotor. fastbrakes.com sells this modification as the Spec R kit. Does anyone have any experience with this kit, or a similar conversion? I would like to know if there are any problems that I will come accross. I am aware that the calipers need to be modified slightly to fit the stock Accord rotors, but besides that, are there any other snags that I should be aware of?

I am new to the board, if this belongs somewhere else please move it, but this seemed like the right place.

Thanks,
Marc

I'm not certian, but I doubt the caliper bracket is going to fit on the Integra, but I should be wrong. Plus the Accord V6 rotors is 11.2"x25mm... have fun!

Yes, I was incorrect about the rotor size, the caliper will fit, but the braket only needs to be modified if I am going to use the stock Accord rotors. I am not using the stock rotors tho, I am using a set of 2 piece aftermarket 11" x 1" rotor that will fit within the bracket, as far as I know the caliper braket will fit on the GSR wheel hub.

Are the accord V6 wagon and sedan calipers the same?

The calipers have to have material removed from them with a grinder in order to fit under 15" wheels. If you have larger rims, then that shouldn't be a concearn.

Do a search for "Fastbrakes", there are plenty of people who have shared their experiences with this conversion in the past.
