Hey guys. i have a 99 honda accord sedan 4 cyl. and i bought a intake from ebay and i had them installed. now heres the problem. the intake makes this weird whistling noise when i have my accelerate pedel at a certain angle. and i dont think this is normal. you guys think its the intake or wut? the intake isnt a name brand one or anything i only paid like 30$ for it. and at the moment im thinking of replacing the intake.

 

no intakes will have a loudness to them at certain rpms, ask anyone with an aftermarket intake

its normal

 

its normal, (if u listen closely) even when u shut the car off u will still here the intake wistle for a second as the car is shutting down.

 

are u guys sure cuz this noise is pretty loud.

 

yes, almost everyone I know wit a honda/acura has an intake sound is normal, remember there is not as much restriction with the new intake plus the resonator on the OEM intake (which quiets down incoming air) is eliminated.

 

so why does the noise only come when i have the pedel at a certain angle. i mean the noise is there only at a certain point that im accelorating

Its completely normal dont even trip off it
