intake prblems
Got a 99 honda accord just installed an injen short intake now it whistles LOUD. its not the intake the sound is still there without the intake the stock air box quiets the sound but I need to find the root of the prob. it is drivivg me crazy. anybody else ever have this prob?

well i kinda am confused on your question, unless i cant read, which is always a possiblity.
i take it that your new intake whistles, but when you slap your stock one on it doesnt, and that the whistle irritates you... assuming this:
your new intake will whistle...live with it
the stock intake has a resonator box that has some chambers in it... this allows the air to bounce around and is used to quiet the intake hence why its quiet when the stock one is used.
expext the new intake to whistle in the mid to high RPMs...your letting more air through so its gonna make more noise ... hope this helps

yea pretty much what he said.
when i first installed my intake i thought the whistling/whining sound was a little annoying at certain rpms but you get used to it. i dont even notice it anymore. you get used to it faster if you think of it as a good sound.
