i jus installed my damn intake, and when i step on the gas i hear like a cricket sound..its annoying as hell lol...anyone got a clue? The noise sounds like its coming from the filter because its behind the bumper..

 

is it a whistlin' noise?

 

The intake pipe might be rubbing against the side of the hole where it goes into the bumper. I had that with mine, but i anticipated it and stuck protecting pads onto the pipe.

 

sounds like the normal; tuned pipe intake noise.

mine makes a whistling noise too, at around 5 rpm...cuz said cause its tuned rite..i dont mind

 

i have the same problem ... mine is caused because the it came with 2 wire ties and 2 rubber pipes, on large one small, the small fits inside the large on and the factory pipe is also a small rubber pipe around the same size but slittly smaller the wire tie does not squeeze the pipe on the factory rubber hose, which causes the wisling noise around mid rpm range (the rubber pips connect the the small outlet on the intake pipe to the top of the engine)
