Hi, i just installed my intake yesterday and i did a fine job of it. There is only one part that I couldn't exactly figure out where it goes. It is a long piece of metal with about 6 holes on it. You can see a picture of it here.

It looks like a mounting bracket. I can't say for sure, but I'd guess that you slip the hooked end under the hose clamp for the filter & bolt it down somewhere on the body.
