Icon2 Intake/Exhaust

I recently acquired an 89 Honda CRX HF, 1.5 L (that is all the specs I can recall at the moment), and I'm looking to mod it. A few buddies of mine say that the best thing to start off with is to get a cold air intake and new exhaust for it. My question is what's the best out there? It's all stock, so this would definitively add some hp to it I'd hope. Can anyone suggest a good type of stage 1 cold air intake and exhaust for this car? I'll reply as quick as possible. Feel free to message me personally if you think you have some ideas. Thanks!
ps I'm new to the forum, still figuring things out, so if I do take a while to respond, please be patient with the noob

nothing you do short of swapping the engine will add any noticeable power. enjoy the fuel economy.

this one. even just a "mini-me" conversion with stock multi-point intake (tubing and manifold) and any factory 4-2-1 exhuast manifold would be a better idea than spending any money on parts for the original motor.

it's a great car for making power... once a suitable engine is installed. it's a nimble light weight chassis with good support.

Just in case anyone missed this post. Do NOT sink any money into this engine as you will feel NOTHING. The most you will do is probably help with batter MPG by helping it breath. Tell your friends to do some actual research backed up by data like I did.

and please fix the body first.(if it needs fixin)
im so tired of looking at those busted *** crxs even if they do 10 sec runs.
at least do simple maintenance and have all the body panels attached and not hanging/smashed/ zip-tied or ducktaped...

you could, and may be buying just as many problems or more than a stock '89 HF.

Stop picking my posts apart u know exactly what i meant.
And if he does and engine swap he still has to buy it from someone. At least in a car he can test drive it.
