Installing valves
When installing new valves into a cylinder head is it necessary to use a lapping compound and spin the valves for a few moments to help them seat or are they ok out of the box ? Is the angle of the valve job always the same as the valve ? What about on radius valve jobs ?
If this is a street engine I think you better call a local machine shop in your area.
I installed new valves in our race head right out of the box, but they were drop shipped to us from Manley per Brad at RLZ.

But wouldnt the correct way be the correct way, regardless? What was different on your race motor than a street motor that would affect this aspect ?

so technically with the valve job then valve should not have to be lapped ? Will the angles on the valve always match the valve seat ? For example sometimes they use 3-5 angle or even radius valve job, wouldn't that affect the seal ?
