Default Installing new crankshaft ...

I have a broken bolt in my crankshaft and I'm pretty sure the threads are F'd up in the crank so if I cant rethread them I was wondering how hard it is to install a new crankshaft? The motor is already out of the car and I have an engine stand to put it on. What do you guys think I should do?

tried an easy out. the easy out broke off in the bolt because its so tight in there and i think the threads are messed up. im gonna drill out as much as i can of the bolt and then retap the hole.

the crankshaft is not hard to swap out, the biggest part is getting the block out and on the stand. From there just flip her upside down and begin the tedious tear down.

Tips for removal and assembly would be to note the placement of EVERYTHING down to which piston came out of which cylinder. Make sure when assembling that you pay close attention to factory torque specs, keep things CLEAN and use a lot of assembly lube.

Ive also seen guys get carried away and put lube on the back of the bearing halves when assemblind their first and this is bad so dont do it in case it comes to mind!!

well i think im gonna drill out the center of the bolt and then just re tap the hole to clean the threads up and get the rest of the old bolt out. think that will work??

any one happen to know what size tap i'll need?
