Default Installed my black-box simulator for 2ndary O2 sensor...CEL solved!

Although it's not quite what you might think. I don't have an aftermarket exhaust, high flow cat, or a turbo.

I wired the O2 simulator (which I bought from http://www.accordinglydone.com for $40 shipped) into our 1999 Honda Odyssey LX just before Christmas. The van kept throwing a PO420 code showing the cat convertor needs replaced. Seems odd for a vehicle with only 105k, but either way, I didn't have $500 to buy one.

Since it wasn't affecting mileage or performance, I wanted a way to get rid of the CEL so if something important sets it off, I'd know it. It's unsettling going on a 2000+ mile round trip for the holidays with a damn check engine light on the dash.

So I read about this simulator on H-T. Works great. Just splice in 5 wires and unplug the secondary O2 sensor from the harness. Haven't had a light since. Plus it'll facilitate a high flow cat if/when one becomes available.

The seller said since it was tested on a 3.2TL, it should work on my van. He was right
