Actually I am doing an auto to manual swap on my 92 teg.... it was an auto before so I have nothing to compare it to.

This is my first time ever installing a tranny, however I have been working and researching my project for well over a year and I am finally at the point where
the tranny is in the car.

At this point I dont have the manual pedals or clutch cable in yet. When I pull up on the clutch release lever it is smooth untlil the throwout bearing meets the pp........ I put allot of muscle into it and I cannot get the pp fingers to move.... maybe I dont understand the concept of the pp and throwout bearing but shouldnt those fingers move inward to disengage the clutch?

I just want to make sure everything is correct so I can move on to the next step.

Maybe somebody just needs to explain this entire pp and throwout bearing concept to me

BTW it is an act xt pp if that matters.

You are not going to be able to move the pp with just your hands. You need to hook up the cable and clutch pedal. You need to have the combined mechanical advantage of both the clutch arm and clutch pedal to move it.
