I don't know about your year, but it seems typical for Honda to supply 12v power to the injectors at all times. The ECU supplies ground when it wants them to fire.

OK, but that's a lot more than what you said in your first post. Sounds like maybe you have several things wired up wrong. Hard to know where to start, there's lots of possibilities.

I would check out all of your wiring... Definately double check your jumper... I made one for my friend's Rex using a diagram that I wrote up and it works just find... Since your car is MPI already you shouldn't have had to mess with the engine loom too much... When swapping from DPI to MPI you would have to make sure to swap your TPS polarity, wire in the CYP, etc... (this should all be fine for you tho) As for the injectors JimBlake is correct... When your ignition goes to 2nd click (ACC) your PGM-FI main relay goes hot... This is where your injectors, oxygen sensor heater (if applicable), IAC, EVAP purge solenoid, VSS, and IAB's (if B18C1) get their 12vdc+ from... For all of those sensors your ECU simply goes to ground to switch them on... Again I would first check over your jumper since you said before that "a friend made it" as i recall... Good Luck and let us know if you need anything else... Peace

My car is a 89 civic(with a d16z6) and im doing an obd0-obd1 conversion..... Ok fixed!! Everything was right but i was useing a 4 wire mitsu o2 sensor and there not compatiable (used 5th gen 4 wire).I rechecked everything and used that 7 wire capped plug instead of the rig job that i had. Everything went well it started right up, also somthing that might have been wrong is that i was useing a hanes manual (92+ civic delsol) to get fireing order and it was wrong. I got pics from the guy that made my conversion harness and the #i cylinder was in a total diff spot than it said in the hanes. I knew the fireing order was 1-3-4-2 (clockwise) but the #i cyl. is the one closest to the firewall. not the one on the bottom like the hanes manual said ... Oh well i got everything worked out no codes and it runs alot better than it did before!

happy ending to this story!

thanks for the help
