with the ignition turned to ON, i get 12v on both wires..is this good or bad??my car still does not start up...

 

Is the connector still plugged in when you are probing the wires?

I don't have the wiring diagram with me now, so I might be confused...

The main relay supplies 12v to the injectors continuously. The ECU makes & breaks the connection to ground when it wants to fire them. So, if the ECU is NOT firing the injectors, you'll see 12v at both pins.

This is correct.

 

cool so if i have ignition turned too on, i should see 12v at both, correct?

 

With the plug disconected, it should have voltage at one wire only.
