I got myself a set of JDM H22 injectors today (i think theyre 290cc) anyways, i was told by one person that just by dropping them in will do absolutely nothing, whereas another person said that i should see some pretty good gains over the stock injectors. Can anyone tell me for definite before i put them in will they do any good just dropping them in? Would i need to get a FPR too?

Edit: I want to put these in to my JDM integra (B18C - 1994)

if its still stock, you'll just run rich (unless your b series injectors are 290), which is not as good as having a stoic a/f mixture. but who knows try it

 

stock injectors are 240cc, anyone actaully done this on their B18C?

Unless you have upgrades on your engine and are having problems running lean then the H22 injectors will do nothing!

If you are bringing more air into the engine(ex. I/H/E), then the extra fuel may help. If you don't need the fuel, you could lose power and waste more gas=$.

 

they arent gonna do jack **** except hurt your performance unless you need the fuel. and just dropping them in wont help anything, even if you needed the fuel they would need to be tuned with a vafc. or safc.

 

If your worried about running lean then get the FPR before the injectors and use that to add the needed amount of fuel. If you keep modding your engine to the point where raising the fuel pressure isn't enough, then upgrade your injectors.
