Default Individual throttle bodies... What the... ?

I was wondering: If someone installs an ITB manifold on their motor, how does the ECU compute the airflow into the cylinder? Technically you could say that there would be four individual manifolds, so are there four individual map sensors? What Engine Management System can support this many? If any at all, what EMS would work best for ITBs?

Also, it would seem that a MAF sensor would work better than a MAP in this case because there is really no manifold pressure at all; the air is going straight from the throttle body into the head. What's the deal? I would think that without using a MAF some kind of formula would be implemented with the TPS and atmospheric pressure to compute the amount of air flow based on the stroke and displacement... correct? possible? risky?

And what about temperature and altitude? These effects on air density would be much more dramatic with an ITB, right?

i think there is a MAP sensor connected to the long rod that goes thru all the 4 stacks

honda's based on a speed density (map, tps, iat) since with itbs you loose most of the vaccuum strength, you need a management system that uses alpha-n which is tps based to adjust fueling calculation duties.
crome for example uses speed density up to about 20% throttle( in which map sensor is reading no vaccuum, thus thinking full throttle) and after that uses tps based to 100%throttle
