(I already posted in ITR...i thought i might get a response here)
My friend just got an ITR ECU for his LSVTEC, and it had the immobilizer ripped out...now as everyone knows the check engine light is on, it has trouble starting, blah blah blah
heres my question...
Is there a way to re-solder his OBDII LS immobilizer chip to the ITR ECU? will that solve the problem? If not...other options i guess are a 99 Civic Si ECU, Chipped P28, pushing the car off a cliff...
Main point...can you solder an OBDII LS immobilizer onto an OBDII ITR ECU?

ok first off, what year is your friends LS, 96-98 or 99-00?
I haven't personally tried placing an LS IMM on an ITR ecu yet.....but it is possible, not sure if it will work once the IMM is installed though.
Try this trick...
In the LS w/ ITR ecu, turn the ignition key 2 clicks allowing the fuel pump to click on then off, once you hear the pump click OFF, turn the key a 3rd click-- which should fire up the car.
People w/99+Si coupes running a 00+ ITR ecu w/removed IMM need to do this in order for their car to run.....not to mention the swapping of PIN A15 to A16...
let me know if ignition trick works or not....otherwise I *think* you'll have to move pin A15 to A16 if your friend has a 99-00 LS.
I'm personally still trying to troubleshoot these immobilizer removal issues. The OBD2 prelude ecu's are a bitch once the IMM is removed; worse ecu by far..
