immobilizer
I swapped an 00 GSR motor in an 00 hatch a while back and used a jumper harness to run a chipped P28. Emissions/Inspections are rolling around for this guy and he needs to run the OBDII-B ECU. I have an 00 GSR ECU layin around and so does he, but there's immobilizer. Is there any ECU he can run that doesn't have immobilizer on it? Will a stock EX ECU throw codes? I've never dealt too much with OBDII.
I'm the emissions/inspections tester, but I don't cheat for myself, so I won't cheat for anyone else either. Any help will be appreciated, thank you.

....which typically gives constant CEL....so no dice unless you can circumvent that.
Acura started putting the immobilizer into cars in '99 I believe....might have been '00. So yes, there is an ECU that doesn't have the immobilizer but now you have to run a OBD2b-OBD2a jumper harness.

Before we go e-bay hunting, will this throw any codes with the C1?
