Default IM leak causing idle surge ??

Hey, i just installed the delbrock turbo kit and i'm getting an idle surge from 1000 to 3000 and back to 1000 non stop surging, now is it possible that a intake manifol vacuum leak can cause this surging because i overchecked all my wire connections, my tps sensor, the iacv, the map sensor and everything seem to be fine, i remember sensing some air commin from the intake manifold but i didnt really pay attention to it....could a leak be causing this ??

definitely....get some carb cleaner and spray around the intake manifold area and try to see if the motor runs differently...if it does run differently...u have some kind of intake leak somewhere

If there was one, it'd be sucking in air where it was leaking. That's why you use some carb cleaner to shoot in the suspected area and if the carb cleaner gets sucked in, the idle will bobble and you've found the leak. But not all leaks are 'external' and can be solved with the carb cleaner approach (FITV equipped throttle bodies for example).

So yes, you probably have a vacuum leak somewhere considering the idle is surging that high.
