Icon5 Ignition Switch/Blower Motor Problem???

I have a 1989 Accord. My blower motor does not.... well most of the time it does not work. It seems to be related somehow to the ignition switch. I have been dealing with the issue for sometime now. I used to be able to get the blower motor to work by backing the key like I'm shutting it off (while driving) and that would kick the blower into life. That no longer works. It will work, not very often and never while the key is turned far enough to keep the motor running. The only reason I haven't just replaced the switch is because it is damn expensive and would hate to do it and have it not fix the problem. Yes I know that is probably it but wanted to see if anyone else had a similar experience.

Any help is much appreciated.
