Default idle problem....help!

so i have a b18c swapped ek and have been having weird idle problems for a while. it idles at like 15 to 3k when cold then some times drops to 400 almost staling when hot. i replaced the iacv and burped coolant and still no luck. its weird my idle will rise when the clutch is engaged, like if i push the clutch in and cruse with it in the idle does not drop it will rise a little and stay at 2500-3000....but at a complete stop with it in natural it will drop to 1500-1000. im so frustrated with it i cant seem to figure it out. if the car is rolling the idle stays highits so weird....... checked for vac leaks and replaced iacv and bled coolent of air and still not releaf. some one please helppp....anyone?

Are all the cylinders firing correctly? missfire? engine light?

How did u check for the vacumn leak, best way is to get a can over carb cleaner, and start spraying around vacumn ports and see if the idle goes up, which would mean theres a leak, but i doubt a vacumn line is causing a idle that low

you can also adjust the idle on it with the screw on the throtle body

YOu should also check the fast idle valve

I have a similar problem, i believe it is a TPS sensor problem. Sometimes it throws a code sometimes it ****s up without throwing any codes, oddly. When it did throw a code it was 7 quick of CEL which corresponds to the TPS.

I hooked it up to a code reader and it did show that it was a TPS faulty code.

I haven't been able to fix it as no one in Malaysia wants to help me check whether the TPS was correctly set. And being mechanically deficient i haven't attempted the check myself.

Hopefully yours is the same problem as your symptoms are exactly the same as mine! Good Luck!

I read this article just now. Are you experiencing hesitation in your throttle? I sometimes get that.

According to this article it could have something to do with the ecu sending signals in, among other things. *shrug*

23 and 41 are not TPS codes.

23 is for knock sensor and 41 is for primary oxygen sensor, if you're using an obd1 ecu.
