Hey guys I just bought a 1996 civic coupe with a d16y8 in it.
The cars idle bounces from high to low rpms when it's hot. When it's cold, the car idles fine but as soon as it gets hot it starts idling weird.
The guy that I bought the car from said that the motor in the car is from a 1999 and he did the swap and left the original 1996 wiring harness that was in the car.
He told me that the car needs a 1999 wiring harness.
Is this guy right? or can you use a 1996 wiring harness with the 1999 motor?
Also, the speedometer doesn't work, RPM gauge doesn't work, the srs light is blinking, & the car is extremely hard to start in the cold.
