Default The Idle Bug

Ok guys ive been tryin to nail down why my car doesnt idle for crap!

ok im running a b18a obd1 motor in my 95 body...everything is hooked up...

on the intake manifold since im running a 93+ TB i made a block off plate to cover the old fitv holes...and just use the fitv attached to the TB already...

ive tried adjusting my timing...nearly impossbile since it is so irradic
ive cleaned out both my iacv & fitv....then swapped both....and still to no avail it misses and dies....

it runs perfect about 1500rpm....but soon as it starts to drop down from drving coming to a stop...it hits about 500rpm hiccups a few times missin sporadically and then dies...

i thought it was the dizzy...got a new cap & rotor...no fix...changed dizzys...still nothing...

ive tried adjusting the idle screw also...any other culprits you can think of?

Cliff Notes...
no vacuum leaks
trouble shooted fitv & iacv & dizzy
runs perfect above 1500rpm under load
when off throttle it drops to 500...misses a bit then dies

raise the idle mine doesnt enjoy idling at 500 rpm also

spray carb/brake cleaner all around the TB/IM/injectors connections to verify and MAKE SURE its not a vacuum leak, then if the TB has a small hole before the throttle plate stick your finger on it and see if that works.. sometimes the IACV gets stuck wide open

iacv is working somewhat properly....i have a feelin its a spark issue instead of air...because i opened up a available port to help raise the idle...it raises it by 6-700rpm when warming up...yet once its warm it idles nice and pretty then dies back to the 500line...except w/ the introduced vacuum leak it doesnt die...it just misses and keeps on pluggin

it should be warming up around 1200-1700.. 600-700 is still low for idle

stupid question; but have you re-set the idle to 500-600 with the iacv disconnected?

i would if i could...if i remove the vac leak ive created...it wont idle at all...

for ex.
start it...runs at about 15-1600rpm for about 3-4 seconds....rpms drops to about 4-500 blips for 2-3 times and then croaks (w/o my created vac leak w/ it it runs choppy at about 5-600rpm)

if i disconnect the iac...it dies even faster

idle screw is backed out nearly completely...

the car runs & drives 100% it just doesnt idle (woreded it wrong in my last post...editted for clairity) ...and since im a delivery boy and hate turning off/on my car i usuallly just let it idle...but since it cant i created a vac leak to keep it alive...id rather fix the problem correctly and not have a bandaid fix....but this thing has gotten me all in a tizzy...hell i can build and tune a turbo'd car...but cant figure out this dam idle bug!

blah im startin to wonder if AAp gave me a gsr tbelt and it could be off by one tooth...causing all these problems...but it triple checked my cam timing...oh well

btw swapped out a know good dizzy & wires...no effect...

plugged the vac leak today just for s&g...car drives 100%...then when you get off the trottle drops to about 7-800rpm and then does about 3 gallops and dies
