i have a 1992 honda civic with a 1999 sohc v-tec engine in it and the car cuts on but after a while when it gets hot after shutting of i will try to crank it again and it wont crank. i know on the old civic they did not have and idle air control on it so i need some help to try to by-pass the air control valve

 

Wish I had an answer for you but I think mine is messing up too, I have a EK hatch with a GSR, its idleing @ 1500 rpm then it drops up and down between 1000rpm and 1500pm. Also getting lousy gas mileage too. I get the feeling that the IACV is either going out or if a Idle air volume learn needs to be done since it has an aftermarket intake manifold. Im new to hondas, never messed with them before, all my experiance is in nissan and infinitis. We had IACV issues all the time @ the dealership I was at. if anyone can help Id appreciate it also.

Im not sure which ECU, I just bought the car, it just happened to already have a swap.
