Default Idle Air Control Valve - Help!

Here's the deal: My engine (h22a) dies when stopping at a stop sign, etc. After restarting it idles fine. A little sluggish, but it recovers. When it is fully warmed up it doesn't do this. The revs drop and it idles fine. I'm told it is most likely the IAC valve. Anyone know if this is right? Also, I checked at Honda for a price, $258!! Anyone know where i can get a cheaper one? I dont care if its used, just as long as it works. Also, is there any way i can test the one i have to see if its working? Thanks much.

if you unplug it when your car is on it should drop the revs!
