Default Identifying Cams

I recently purchased '96 ITR camshafts and was wondering if someone could provide info and preferably pics of the differences between ITR's and B16 cams. Is there anyway to tell just by site or a website that has pics of all the honda cams?

My intake cam definitely looks like the gsr pic, what the hell? Did I get ripped off? Are there other resources to make sure they're right/wrong before I call the seller up?

sorry, I dont know of any other sources. I've seen those pictures passed around a lot though, so I'm pretty sure theyre correct. I kinda know how you feel though. The cams that came in my GSR motor dont look like any of them, so I'm confused to what i have too. Good luck though! Hopefully someone can help us out with some more info about ID'ing our cams.

Am I the only one who thinks that the B16 cams resemble the first gen itr cams exactly? I went on a site with cam id's and mine definitely look like 88-91 B16 cams which pisses me off. I know the kid who sold me the cams though, so I don't think he's gonna lie. But everyone says the best way to tell is by the lobes, so I guess I'll know when I pull my gsr cams out and compare. There should be a big difference in lobe size shouldn't there?

yeah, they kinda resemble 1st gen ITR cams as far as the single engravement goes, but not when comparing the outter ring markings. 1st gen ITR cams have a thin raised lip around the edge of the outter ring as seen in the mini image here:

Yes, one of the best ways IS to compare the lobes, the MID or VTEC lobe to be exact, thats where the difference is, not really the smaller lobes too much.
