A stock unit can withstand that power.......I have seen it before. I am telling you from experience.....you have a stock clutch/flywheel. Do not kid yourself. If your "friend sold you this stuff knowingly then I would not consider him as a friend

a stock unit can not withstand that power, i met a guy that turboed his stock prelude, his stock clutch went out in one week thats on stock internals making like 250whp....it wont withstand that power at 400whp. i need mmore proof, because i still believe its mis info
ok dude, I will remember to not help you any longer since you refuse to believe me. I hate to say it but you have been duped BY A "FRIEND" and you are in denial about it. I have seen stock clutches hold up to amazing amounts of power. I have even shown you pictures and links proving the matter and I even have a couple of members THAT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT agree with me and continue to do so even after I have corrected them.
You have a nice day and please do not ask for any more help on H-T if you are not going to believe what a HIGHLY informed source is telling you.
But hey, I do not know what I am talking about......I am only a lolely Acura Technician that has worked on more cars than you have sat in.
have a nice day

Most people on here don't try to verify the information they give out, its cool to see someone concerned about giving accurate info. This is hard to find on the internet these days.
As for this stock clutch/flywheel, is there any proof that this guys car made 400+hp at the wheels? If he thought he had a type R flywheel and ACT clutch then it wouldn't surprise me if he thought his 200WHP civic had 400+. Get my drift?

hey what's up.that's my old clutch from my old car.it is indeed act extreme and it was sent off to be balanced.whatever they do to clean the parts washed away that gay yellow paint.don't let these fools tell you it's exedy.there's no way that it could be stock either.haha, give me a break.who ever said that is retarded(disclaimer:espanol does not hate retards).compare the fingers to a stock clutch, and you're right there's no way that a stock clutch would hold the 525 my old teg put down.to put the nail in the coffin you can even feel the increased pedal pressure compared to the wimpy stock clutch.peace and good luck w/ your new used clutch.

JDM00SI, does your flywheel outer thickness look like the the picture i posted?
for some reason it looks shaved to me, maybe its just the pic.

first off , i would appreciate if did not insult everybody, it makes you look ignorant....entiende?
Second, to be cocky like you seem to be, you need to know what your talking about..
the clutch kit is definitely NOT the ACT EXTREME, pressure plate and disk do not look nothing alike that.
If anything, i have been looking; and the pressure plate does look like the ACT heavy duty, only without all the paint. Which not in that case looks can deceive for plenty others..
so what you had the pressure plate dipped in acid?
As far as the disk..ACT's organic disks have 4 springs; and the rivets are steel and not brass
for some reason it looks shaved to me, maybe its just the pic.

why don't u weigh the flywheel u have and confirm if it is a itr flywheel? isn't the itr flywheel like 14 lbs or something in that area? And that does look like a pretty stock clutch to me, if the clutch kit he got was ACT xtreme then theres no way that clutch came with the kit..

i bought that clutch over 3 1/2 years ago.i know what clutch it is.i know the difference between heavy duty and extreme.you can feel it in the pedal pressure.i use to have the heavy duty and it feels like stock to me after driving w/ the extreme.it didn't hold the power.when i had the built motor balanced i sent them the flywheel and clutch.the machine shop i used was in ft worth and my friend worked there.i hope that you are satisfied now that you have the life story on the clutch.get a life and go dream about being right about something.

here is your pressure plate

here is an ACT Heavy Duty (notice the ACT logo stamped into the metal frame and the shape of the frame)

Here is an ACT Extreme (notice the difference with the "fingers" on the cantilever arms)

But hey man, remember, I am wrong and I don't know what I am talking about.................................

Oh yeah, here is a STOCK OEM ITR pressure plate that is brand new.

Do you see a difference between the "ACT" pressure plate that you purchased and the OEM ITR pressure plate? I cannot seem to find a difference besides the difference in wear.
espanol, you need to go somewhere else with your scamming ***.
I will even give you the link that the picture came from--------> https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1376890

All this fuss over USED parts that I wouldn't run if you PAID ME!
Look, stock clutch, to top it off, that stock clutch sat outside when there was an abundance of moisture in the air causing it to rust. I certainly wouldn't run it, I don't see why anybody would want to buy it... If you want a BRAND NEW OEM Exedy clutch kit, I can get you one for $130 + shipping, or you can head down to your local parts store and get it your damn self for the same price minus shipping.
Flywheel = USED, needs to be resurfaced for $30.00 or how about I just run down and buy a new ITR flywheel for $43.00 and ship it to you... or you could just run down to your local parts store and buy it your damn self for $43.00... but on the flywheels, there's a $150.00 core charge (new parts, idk why there's a core charge).
Oh, and an OEM clutch CAN handle 400whp... that prelude mentioned earlier had an OEM clutch that was ????? years old?

i don't care where you get your pictures from.that clutch came in an extreme pressure plate box that i ordered 3 1/2 years ago.i had the heavy duty before this clutch and there was a significant difference.how about this...take your car, make 500 whp, take a stock clutch, rev it up to 6000-8000 rpms, launch the car, continue to rev the gears to 9.5 for a stretch of a quarter mile, and see how long your stock clutch last.yeah, that's what i thought.make sure you brush your teeth when you get your head out of your ***.

I once put used stock ITR valve springs into a JUN box that used to house JUN valve springs, then I got the used ITR retainers and put them in a JUN box and gave them to some guy for free as used ITR valve springs, I later found out that he sold them to someone as used JUN valve springs/ITR retainers..... maybe someone... nevermind, you know everything.
