Default Idel adjust

Hi Guys!

I try to adjust the idel but when I disconnect the connector from the
EACV valve, then start the engine, the idel stays same at 1000 rpm.
Does it mean my EACV is bad? When I check the ECU there is no code.
Do I need to change a new EACV or it could be repaired?

Thank you for any ideas!

It's supposed to drop to 450ish isn't it? Hmmm...and you're not getting any codes?

i need to disconect the IACV, and is supposed to be on the back of the IM, but which one? the one that looks like a lil motor? and what do you need to move the idle screw? a screwdriver?

Wait, so that's all you did? Just disconnected the EACV? (NZcrx88)

Didn't you try adjusting the idle screw at all?

The purpose of the EACV is for the ECU to adjust the idle speed automatically, once it's disconnected the idle speed will stay at a constant speed - this is the base idle speed. Adjust your base idle speed to about 500 rpms, by tightening the big idle adjusting screw...

You said you drive an accord? The IACV should have two coolant lines that connect at the bottom of it, and a wiring harness that clips in as well. It kinda does look like a little electric motor....

Just unplug the wiring harness from the IACV, then adjust the base idle speed by tightening/loosening the idle adjust screw (big flat head screw, usually located on the throttle body)
