is the IACV sensitive???
i recently took off the IACV of a bone stock 98 honda CRV just to look at the o-ring of the IACV. The car was running fine and i just wanted to take a look at the o-ring so i unbolted the 2 bolts and just look at the o-ring. after that, i bolted the 2 bolts and that's it. i didn't touch anything. but after re-installing the IACV, the car doesn't behave like it should be.
when i started the car, after all those years until i took off the IACV, it would go into fast idle right away and the rpm will be at 1500rpm or a little over. after o-ring viewing incident, it doesn't climb right away to 1500rpm, but just go to 1000rpm and very slowly climb up a bit. what did i do? is an IACV that sensitive? did i screwed up the car? How can if fix this? please take note, that i didn't disconnect anyhose or other stuff, all i did was unbolt the 2 bolts and then look at the o-ring and put it back in. no more, no less. heeeeelp....

It is very sensitive......you should tell it how beautiful it is and buy it roses....mabe you just hurt its feelings.......Is it on tight?....Try resetting the ECU.
