Default IACV question

Hey all..
Can somebody with a 96-99 Civic EX please look at your IAC valve and let me know where the wires go to it?

i.e. if you're looking down at the motor, is the yellow/black wire on top?

Thanks!

Did you start with a DX, and convert it to the Y8 head and intake manifold? I just did this swap in my 98' DX a few weeks ago. The IACV wiring is a bit misleading, but it can be done without running new wires. Let me know if this is the info you need and I'll get under the dash and take a look.

BTW, did you swap out your tranny for an EX? IMO, that's a lot more bang for the buck than the vtec head swap. You'll love the tighter gear ratios, and so will your car.

Duh. I should have looked at your post more closely. I'm still not sure what you mean by the black/yellow wire. Can you describe the situation more? I'm guessing you'd rather keep the DX tranny because you're going FI...
