im throwing a code for iacv failure after a few minutes of regular driving. recently i swapped to an ex intake manifold. when i did this i bypassed the coolant line to the throttle body. could this be causing the check engine light?

nah, the coolant bypassing you did should not be causing your ecu to throw a check light for the IACV. Did you make sure you plugged in the right plug into the IACV sensor? there's another plug of the same style that could get mixed up....check on that.

 

im sure its the right plug. its different than the plug on the ex. 3 wire as opposed to the 2 wire on the ex. the thing is, i can clear the code and it will stay off for until the car is warmed up and then it cuts back on.
