Default IAB's on b18c1 after IM install - obd2

I have been thinking about getting an IM for my OBD2 gsr but i know that after its gunna throw a code for the secondaries. If i convert to obd1 i have heard i wont pass smog (in texas i guess it has to be obd2 if its 95+) and if i leave the obd2 the check engine light will be on and i still wont pass smog..

anyone know a way around this? ive been searching for like an hour and i cant find anything on this.

dude you car isn't going to throw a 2ndarie code.. i've got a 96 gsr 4dr(obd2) and i have a skunk2 manifold no problems when i was running the p72 ecu obd2.. also in my 98 integra gsr a skunk2 IM was installed running a p72 ecu.. you wont make power maybe alittle bit but not much due to the ecu still thinking the car has 2ndaries..

i heard it would throw a code if it wasnt hooked up to the secondaries... is there a way to trick the ecu into thinking they are there (like an o2 simulator) or someithing? and what would the ecu thinking the secondaries are there have anything to do with how much power it gives you.?... and im not doing this for HP gain.. well i am but an IM alone isnt going to give anyone ****.

well you heard wrong.. you dont need to trick the ECU when installing a aftermarket IM... the p72 ecu is just set to hit around 5800 dumpping alittle bit more fuel(the 2nd runners open up)... trust me i felt a f'ing difference when i replaced my ecu with a chipped p28.. and IM does give alittle HP..

so what your saying is that i can get a chipped p28 and then if i need to pass smog just throw in the obd2 ecu and take it to get inspected? it will pass?
