Scan Tool
I currently have an Actron CP9145, but recently, it's been acting up. Not getting a connection with some cars I've been trying to scan, mostly GM vehicles. Even though I have it hook up, it will read "Connect to DLC"
I've checked for voltage in the DLC pins, and all the cars had adequate voltage. I'm thinking of replacing this unit, as I do a bit of auto diagnostics for family and friends, but mostly just code reading and clearing for smog purposes. I'm looking to get a scanner in the $200-300 range, any suggestions?

if the car is not running the correct ecu it will not connect.
ie: obd2 car with obd1 ecu it will not connect
figured that out when it was working on some cars until they plugged there obd2 ecu back in
(i have the same scanner)
