I need to change my clutch! Its making a wind up rattling sound when I engage the clutch on my gears on gear up and gear down. Think my pressure plate is gone. My engine is a B20B1 non-v-tec from a '97 CRV and I think my tranny is a SI cable clutch. I'm thinking of getting a Clutchmaster stage 1 or 2 racing clutch, Does anyone have any suggestions as to which clutch I should be using or which type and brand I should get?

unless you have an upgraded engine (ie. cams head work or internal work) you do not need anything over stock

 

Clutchmasters is a great clutch.. I have a stage 2 one in my Prelude..

Also look at Exedy.. I have a Exedy stage 4(I think) 3 puck sprung race clutch in my crx and it holds great and still has acceptable street engaugement..

 

a puck style clutch is overkill for anything with less than 250whp......I have a screwed up input shaft sitting in my dorm room to prove it

The one that I have is a sprung 3 puck so it has a smoother engaugement.. And im planning to put out over 250whp soon..
