Default I NEED AN ANSWER ARGHHHH!!! b16 stroker

ok i'm planning on stroking my b16 with 81.5 pistons I'm litteraly days away from ordering from tech43 (steve) .... I have been searching and trying to research on this
board and i see different opinions on the subject...This car will be used as a daily driver. Some say its ok and the motor will last for years other say it will last only a few seasons..Some say its a good idea and others say don't do it......does anybody have any real expierence with this type of motor?...BENCH RACERS NEED NOT interject your opinion

also on a side note what kind of gains can I expect with the setup (hp/trq) wise?
has anybody seen a dyno chart on this motor?

jdm b16 2
ls crank
ls rods
81.5 pistons
si tranny

like i stated before I did search ..if you find something i didnt on this board then i will mail you a cookie

the problem with most stroker motors is the r/s ratio it creates...tech43's kit will give you the same r/s ratio as an LS or LS/Vtec. Nothing crazy like running a 95mm crank Should be just as or more reliable than a well built ls/vtec (less parts to worry about and factory oil squirters )

It will be the same as with other stroker motors. It will increase piston speed, increasing sideloading of the cylinder walls, and decreasing the absolute maximum RPM ceiling of the motor.

But, it will not be increasing the stroke enough to really cause anything drastic, so I say it will be fine and reliable, if you don't dog on it bad. If you drive ANY motor hard or don't treat it right, it will let you down.

I've dealt w/ stroked Hondas and a/c VW's....check my sig.
