Ok i installed a fields vtec controller. and ever since ive been throwing a code 21 (Vtec Spool Solenoid valve) and ive reset the ECU and done almost anything to fix it. but it only comes on when i hit vtec in 3rd 4th or 5th gear. I dont understand why. only thing i can think of is that i cut 1 wire from the ecu the VTM (shown in diagram below.)i cut the line from the harness i left the bare line with nothing connected on the ecu. and i connected the wire from the contoller to the harness? did i miss something? Im runnin a chipped P28 with b16 block ITR head.

 

the wire from the controller goes to the ecu and the wire in the harness is left free and ignored.

 

aight ill try that hopefully it works
